A Guide to UK Pensions
Pensions have been in the news a lot over the last few years as the financial markets have crashed , pension funds have been raided by corporations , companies have ended up with pensions contribution deficits and in his autumn statement George Osbourne said he planned to raise £20bn from private sector pensions . The Times newspaper goes on to say that £10bn of this will in fact come from local government pensions
There is plenty of pension advice available on the web , some is impartial and some is aimed at getting you to invest in the company offering the advice or with one that they have a financial interest in and will gain from your investment .
If it is independent advice you are after then there lots of places with plenty of reading material .
Below is a short list of what I found with a couple of different Google searches .
Directgov
The Pensions Advisory Service (TPAS)
moneysavingexpert.com ( Martin Lewis )
Just a couple of results and you might find more if you use a search engine yourself .
